Does anyone ever fall asleep In class? I don't do it offten, but I was sitting in my US goveronment class, which happens to be the first class in the morning, and found myself nodding off. My teacher was rattling on about the founding fathers writting the constitution. Next thing I knew, I was hearing everyone leave. Luckily, he didn't call on me.

I actually have done some of that sleeping in class stuff lol! Most of the classes being ones that aren't that interesting. Biology and such.
I actually find my self nodding off in USHistory class. I try not 2 but it seems like w/the lights on i get really tired. my eyes hurt from the light so i try 2 close them and then find myself falling asleep. I am not a total but I do have light perseption/objects/shadows. and the light bothers my eyes. I m VERY light sensative on some ocasions. Like hella glear, ajusting to light etc... Does n e 1 have this same problem????
It's practically chronic for me... maybe I should participate more, or something, I hate it as well, I feel a horrible big young (as apposed to old) bubbling chunk o' guilt bursting up through my arms.

I fall asleep in class all the time, espeically in classes right after lunch for some reason. I used to fall asleep in Chem all the time and my teacher got really mad. I've even nodded o off in Chorus once or twice.
I almost fell asleep in class. Thus this is why I drink coffee or a coke in the morning. The more caffine I have in me the more awake I am. Unfortuntely some profs don't allow drinks in class so I do this either on my way to class or five minutes before hand.
Oh God sleeping in class and I are good friends with each other. sigh That's why I stopped scheduling classes before 10, I know I won't be awake.
I wanted to respond to what some one said about sleeping in Biology. Well, I had Biology last year, and would fall asleep a lot during track season. We would have to get up at 5 in the morning to practice. Although, I was no where near as bad as a good friend of mine, which he happens to be a user on here, who would fall asleep every day in Biology class. I kid you not. This is no exsageration. The weird thing was, was that the teacher never said anything about it. In fact, she never yelled at anyone who fell asleep in her class. This year she is my phyical science teacher, and I haven't fallen asleep yet. It'll happen in due time I expect.
I fall asleep in class more times than not, because most of them are boring. Once we start review in Spanish, I get bored. But no one says anything, what can they say? I'm making all a's, so what does it matter? In classes like u.s. history, i stay alive, if its not boring and blah. same with spanish, when we're learning new stuff or i'm learnig about the culture or something.. since i want to be a spanish major. and with english, i cant stand the teacher but usually find the class interesting. and math i must stay awake.
but yes i sleep in class, although less during high school then in middle/elementary school. wont/cant do it in college, because if my grades start suffering, or I don't know the stuff, we have a huge problem. I always know the stuff though in the hs classes.

Lol I sometimes accidentally fall asleep in class. I try not to, but sometimes, especially after lunch, like Krisme, I just nod off. Unluckily for me, I have Geometry agfter lunch, which is my hardest class. Actually, I was doing so badly in it that i am now auditing it. But it wasn't because I fall asleep, because I've only almost done that once or twice. It's jsut 'cause i don't get it. But yeah. It's horrible, because I try and fight it and I just can't! I only usually do it after lunch, or if I'm bored, likek really bored, and it takes a lot for me to get bored, because usually if I'm bored, I jsut start daydreaming, not falling asleep. Or if we're watching a really visual movie, sometiems i'll nod off. I remember in History one time we were watching this really visual movie with a lot of gunfire and rubbish, and I just fell right asleep in my chair, because it was dark and all in the room (I have light perception). Then I woke up to some loud gunfire and it was just strange. Lol. I have a friend who sleeps through our morning class almost every day. Lol. He too thrives on caffeene. Oh and my Biology teacher, if someone falls asleep in her class, she'll stop talking, stop lecturing, stop whatever, and just stand there, not saying anything. She'll start whispering, "Look, so and so is asleep!", lol, it's sooo funny! Ans then she'll wait until they look up because of the silence. And if they don't someone like yells and they wake up. lol thats funny what your teacher does. my geometry teacher once did this to me. I feel asleep in class and i had my head down on the desk (bad idea) and my teacher came over and lifted the desk off the floor and was shaking it at the same time. It scared me half to death. I never fell asleep in class ever again. lmao!

Hehehe yeah these stories are very funny! Like i said, I'veo nly fallen asleep like twice, but each tiem I do I try to figh it and can't, there msut be some way!!!

I remember when I was in the third grade, I had to take eye drops for my glacoma. Well, they made me fall asleep, but I didn't know that was the problem. I got in so much trouble, I even got spanked for falling asleep in class. It's funny now. I don't fall asleep in many classes, because most of them I like. The only one that I nod off in is Government and Economics. And that's cause it's first period. I also fall asleep during Diverse Tech, but that's when I'm really tired. That's my second period class. My third class is Spanish. NOPE! I love that class, and the only reason I fall asleep in that class is when I'm sick.
You got spanked? How horrible! It wasn't yoru fault! Lol.

I used to fall asleep in my first period classes. My freshman year I had Spanish first period and I hated it so I would fall asleep. I got yelled at a few times for it. Then sophmore year I had Geometry first period and I fell asleep in there a few times as well. I should have learned to go to bed earlier. Oh well.
Lol Bug! So you and I both sleep through Geometry! Hehehe jk. I am going to seriously not fall asleep anymore. I'll pinch myself if that's what it takes! Rofl!

I will admit to sleeping through class. lol I never mean to, but I have done it in almost every class at some point or another. Fortunately teachers usually can't tell. Though for stories, one time back in sixth grade, my head was just trying to fall to my desk... Well, it fell too hard and made a nice *crack on the desk. Needless to say I was awake after that one...
ah yes, sleeping and daydreaming... id hafta say it happens in sci. class the most... hehehe it happened in math 2day i h8 math lol... my mind was clear 4 once tho... i wadnt thinkin bout anythin... and suddenly i just start 2 doze off, then i find myself tapping my foot 2 keep me awake... lol
I have a funny story about sleeping in class. It was the first day back to school from Christmas brake. This was in my 6th grade year. I had just finished my writing exam for a Jouner High entry. Well, I fell asleep, and was dreaming that I was talking to someone on my CB. In the dream my alarm clock went off. I screemed real loud, then I realized I was in class, and others weren't done with their tests. It was embarrassing. I will talk to you later.
I haven't fallen asleep again since my last post. Lol! You can all clap for me now jk.

*claps for Caitlin* Lol. I use to fall asleep in Biology last year, but that was because the lights were off and we were watching a movie. We watched a lot of boring movies in that class. If the teacher had just kept the light on, I would have been fine, but no. He had to turn them off just so all the friggin _sighties could see the screen. Lol. I was running a b in that class wich was good enough for me, because it was a hard class, and I hated it. Oh, and this year I fell asleep in choir a few times. Like, when MRS. McNeil (our choir director) was working with another part, I would just kinda find myself dozing off. I couldn't keep my eyes open. Then MRS. McNeil started playing the alto part of one of our songs, and the altos started singing, and it woke me up. I was like "What? oh, I'm supposed to be singing now! So that's how it works." lol Oh yeah, once during sixth grade, I fell asleep during "The Brave Little Toaster." It was friday afternoon, and sometimes on friday afternoons we would have a little party with popcorn, and a movie, and that afternoon the movie we happend to be watching was "The Brave Little Toaster." Lol. I hate that movie.
I usually don't sleep in class but once, when I cut my finger on the bread slizing machine and they gave me something against the pain, the thing they gave me was so strong that I fell asleep during every lesso. Another time I fell asleep in Geography, it was sooooo boring.
Lol! Once in French we were watching movie , I may have already mentioned this. Anyway we were watching a movie and my teacher said to me, "Tu dors, ma petite?", "Are you sleeping, little one?", and I was like "Aaaaa!!!!". Lol not really. But i was like, "Uh ah ... non!". Hehehehe. ...
i fall asleep in class sometimes, but not very often.
yeah i fell asleep in math classes but this year i try Not to maybe twice in Law class cause it ws first period and it was early in the morning and my teacher was mumbling some info and instead of note taking i lost track and fell asleep haha
I only fall asleep in class if I was really sleep deprived. There was two times that I fell asleep during testing, but they were both only for a few seconds. Ha, I fell asleep in the V.I. room in second grade, I believe for an hour and a half and my teachers got really mad.
I've fallen asleep in a few of my classes, though its usually tech class and sometimes algebra II and german. It always kicks in after lunch, probably because of the crash after a sugar high.
I fell asleep in class lots of times but no one knew because they thought I was taking notes. Since I wrote really near the paper, they did not notice a thing. That was funny, I also fell asleep in church sermons, and during boring movies. I don't know, my mind just tends to drift back to dream land and after I yawn, I immediately fall asleep. I remember I used to have Political Science so early in the morning at eight. It was draning. I brought some coffee, or drank a cup before i went to class, but i still ended up falling asleep. The class was boring. The teacher kept on talking and talking. It was like listening to a mono tone.

I haven’t fallen asleep in class in a few years. Back in high school I’d fall asleep during American Government and Econ. My second year of college I fell asleep in my rock history class, but blasting the Beatles does something to my brain waves and I was wide awake. I've now mastered the art of coffee and caffeinated teas.
WellI have to admit to falling asleep in science class. When the sun is out. The teacher has me sit next to a full length picture window.
